MEET DOCTOR LILY

S Lily Martin, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in both Oregon and Vermont. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology before heading west to Portland, OR where she earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). After her primary care residency in Corvallis, OR, Dr. Lily moved to be with family in Vermont, where she started a small telemedicine practice. She has since returned to Oregon and continues to see patients in both states. In Oregon she sees patients in-person at Deep Roots Family Medicine in Corvallis, and sees patients who have Oregon Medicaid virtually through Be Well Holistic Health!

Dr. Lily has a particular focus in digestive health, and finds that imbalances in the gut are often a root cause of a variety of diseases. At NUNM, she worked with Dr. Steven Sandberg-Lewis, a gut expert, treating GI conditions including SIBO, IBS, IBD, celiac disease, GERD and food intolerances. She finds that addressing digestion and nutrition often has profound effects on hormonal balance, mental health, fatigue, autoimmunity and more. She also focuses on women’s health and loves to help women gain a deeper understanding of their health, anatomy, and natural cycles. Women’s health conditions are often overlooked, and Dr. Lily works to empower her patients to recognize concerns, ask for support, and address and return the body to balance.

Dr. Lily believes that each body responds uniquely to different treatments, and that it is her job to work with individuals to find what modalities resonate best with them – whether that be herbal medicine, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, homeopathy, counseling or physical medicine. Dr. Lily loves to cook, eat, and share meals with friends and family, and is fascinated by the power of nutrition, both physically and emotionally. She grew up attending a Waldorf school and still incorporates its values of holism, creativity, and respect for nature into her life and her practice.

In her down time, Dr. Lily loves to create - through art, music and cooking. She is happiest riding her bike on a sunny day with her partner, Noah.
